Had a great time drawing with Drunken Paw in my studio during their "Egg Drop Soup" tour. They were in Nakusp for 3 days and Don Mabie and I each sat in on a session and helped make some amazing masterpieces. Below is Raymond the dog enjoying some sun.
This work started off with a red cardinal plaster from the 50's and a red fragment from a fender bender on the highway. The back ground was blue and I found a mermaid picture that was also blue and red. I covered the second cardinal with the same blue and silver as the back ground as if it had dipped itself into the color and flown off the painting. The mermaid points longingly up at it from a stormy sea. |
